Medical carrier
Specimen transport with a chain of custody you can audit.
stera moves clinical specimens, surgical instruments, and temperature-controlled inventory for labs, surgery centers, and imaging facilities. Every handoff is scanned, timed, logged, and signed — so the record is finished when the delivery is.

What we carry
Three operations, each with its own clock.
A tray that misses an OR start and a specimen that misses its stability window are different failures. We route them differently.
Clinical laboratory
Scheduled specimen runs between draw sites and your reference lab, built around your instrument cutoffs instead of ours.
- Daily and multi-daily route service
- Stability-window planning per assay
- Reference lab interchange and STAT add-ons
Surgery centers
Instrument trays, implants, and pathology moved on OR time. STAT calls dispatch against the board, not a queue.
- Loaner tray delivery and same-day return
- Frozen section and intraoperative runs
- Sterile processing transfers between sites
Imaging centers
Contrast, biologics, and prior studies carried with the handling record your accreditation survey asks for.
- Temperature-controlled and validated ambient
- Short-window radiopharmaceutical transport
- Inter-site inventory balancing
Chain of custody
Four checkpoints, and no blank space between them.
Most courier tracking tells you a package moved. A custody record tells you who held the specimen, when, at what temperature, and who signed for it. That difference is what an auditor asks about.
- 01
Collected
The courier scans each container at the draw site, confirms the seal number against your requisition, and captures the releasing staff member's signature. The record opens the moment the specimen leaves your counter.
- 02
In transit
Location and compartment temperature are logged continuously, not at the endpoints. If a refrigerated hold drifts outside 2–8 °C, dispatch is alerted while the vehicle is still moving and the excursion is written into the record.
- 03
Received
The receiving lab scans the same containers and signs. Counts that do not reconcile stop at the dock and escalate to a coordinator rather than resolving quietly.
- 04
Released
The completed record — every scan, timestamp, temperature reading, and signature — is available to both facilities. You can pull it for an audit without calling us.

Coverage
Greater Houston, and the lab corridors around it.
stera runs scheduled routes across Greater Houston and contracted long-haul legs to reference labs along the I-10 and I-45 corridors. If your facility sits outside the map, dispatch will tell you honestly whether we can hold the schedule rather than quote a route we cannot run.

Request a pickup
Tell us the route. We will tell you if we can hold it.
A coordinator reviews every new facility personally and comes back with a route plan and pricing. If your volume or timing does not fit our network, we will say so rather than take the contract and miss.
You get a person, not a portal ticket
A dispatch coordinator, named, who owns your account.
Pricing against a real route
Quoted on stops, mileage, and timing — not a rate card.
Custody records from day one
Audit-ready from the first pickup, not after onboarding.
